avicenna

Avicenna has established a school for Syrian refugee children in the Izmir region of western Turkey. Most refugee families live in camps without constant access to health and education facilities. These children don‘t have the chance to access any working educational system at all within the next few years of their lives and without any support there would grow up a lost generation. Education and learning raises the quality of life for all people in the camp, the conflict potential is lower, social structures are improving and most refugees find it easier to integrate and adopt at the environment and the social structures of the society in their guest country. One avicenna team visits each school each day so that they can personally support the teachers or settle conflicts. The number of pupils is raising daily and so does the number of those sitting and passing exams.
